What does flameless burners rely on?
The concept of these burners relies on high-momentum partially premixed jets to promote the mixing of the incoming reactants and recirculated combustion products. The fuel is injected through radially distributed nozzles in a prechamber section, where it is partially premixed with the oxidizer.
What is flameless oxidation?
Flameless Thermal Oxidation is a destructive technology for off-gas treatment of volatile organic compounds( VOCs) and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs). The process converts aromatic and chlorinated VOCs to carbon dioxide, water, and hydrogen chloride without exposing the vapors to a flame.
How does a flox burner work?
In FLOX burners, fuel, air and burned gases are intensely mixed in the combustion chamber before the onset of flame reactions. This leads to a quite homogenous temperature distribution and reduced peak temperatures, thus avoiding significant NO formation.
How does flameless combustion work?
Flameless combustion is based on exhaust gas recirculation in which NOx formation is suppressed without compromising the thermal efficiency. In flameless combustion, the re-circulated exhaust gas is defined as the exhaust gas that is re-circulated and mixed into combustion air before the reaction.
